freedom of speech

...the power of free speech is only beginning to show up. And thanks to the blogosphere for making it happen. Two incidents recently have caught my attention in this regard. The first one is in the desi sphere. The infamous Eye Eye Pee Yem issue. And how Rashmi Bansal and Gaurav Sabnis were involuntarily led to create a "all against one" atmosphere, against those people with cavalier attitudes. For the uninitiated, visit jammag and desipundit. One thing worth noting is that the "physical" media never gave any attention to this. And I wish it is only a coincidence that the B-School(?) in question is one of the top spender in print ads.
The second issue is that featured in slashdot today. The moment students are exposed to the internet, they are already vulnerable to a lot of predators. And preventing them from blogging is not going to help in any way. Read thro the comments to know how people feel about one particular school system. It is the same, all over the world. There are nerds and bullies. Thanks to the blogs. Thanks to internet. Free your mind.
